Learn Quran Online in Netherlands

What languages do teachers use for instruction?

Our teachers instruct in Arabic with English explanations. Many families find this helps their children maintain Arabic skills alongside Dutch.

Can we schedule around Dutch school times?

Of course! After-school hours (3-7 PM CET) are most popular among Dutch families, whether near Essalam Mosque in Rotterdam or the Westermoskee in Amsterdam. Weekend morning slots are also available.

Can online classes supplement my child's mosque or weekend school education?

Absolutely! Many Dutch families use our one-on-one sessions to supplement weekend mosque classes with daily personalized Quran practice. The additional attention accelerates progress significantly.

Do you have experience teaching Moroccan-Dutch and Turkish-Dutch families?

Yes, many of our students come from these backgrounds. Our teachers are experienced in working with diverse Muslim communities across Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht.

What ages and levels do you teach?

From a young child starting with Noorani Qaida through to an adult pursuing a full Hifz or Ijazah programme — every student gets a plan built around their own starting point.

Are you only available during those after-school hours, or can I book a class at a different time?

Alhamd Academy runs 24 hours a day with teachers across multiple time zones, so the window above is simply what suits most Dutch families best — not a limit. If mornings or midday work better for your household, message us and we will match you with a teacher available at that exact hour, in your own local time.

Why do people say Egyptian teachers have a special recitation style?

Egypt has one of the world's most respected traditions of Quran recitation, known for a clear, expressive and deeply moving vocal style. Every Alhamd Academy teacher is a graduate of Al-Azhar University in Cairo and trained in this tradition — often exactly what families are looking for when choosing a teacher for their children.

Alhamd Academy provides certified Al-Azhar Quran education to the Dutch Muslim community — from Essalam Mosque in Rotterdam, the largest mosque in the Netherlands and Western Europe, to the Westermoskee in Amsterdam-West, and communities across The Hague and Utrecht. The Netherlands has built magnificent mosques across every major city, yet a genuinely qualified one-on-one teacher who complements local mosque or weekend school education rather than competing with it remains surprisingly hard to find.

From Essalam Mosque in Rotterdam to the Westermoskee in Amsterdam, and mosques across The Hague and Utrecht, Muslim family life spans the entire country. Weekend mosque classes are often at full capacity, leaving little room for a child to ask questions or progress at their own pace, and busy Dutch family schedules never need to fit a commute around a class held online with a teacher based in Egypt.

The Netherlands has approximately 1 million Muslims, primarily of Turkish and Moroccan descent, with growing communities in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht anchored by landmark mosques like Essalam Mosque and the Westermoskee. A family in Rotterdam and a family in Utrecht face the same challenge: mosques nearby, but very few options for genuinely private, one-on-one Quran instruction with an Al-Azhar-certified teacher.
