Online Quran Classes for Kids in Australia
What age can my child start?
From age 4. Ages 4–6 get shorter 15–20 minute play-based sessions; 7 and up typically move to 25–30 minute sessions.
We're not near Sydney or Melbourne's Muslim community — does that matter?
Not at all. Most of our Australian families outside the two biggest cities book us for exactly this reason. Your child gets the same Al-Azhar-trained teacher a family in Sydney would have access to, wherever you're based.
How is the price worked out?
There's no fixed package — you choose the number of sessions per week and the length of each one, and your price is built around that choice. Sibling discounts are available, and you'll see your exact plan and price before committing to anything.
Will the schedule actually work with my state's time zone?
Yes. Whether you're on AEST/AEDT in Sydney or Melbourne, AEST without daylight saving in Queensland, ACST/ACDT in Adelaide, or AWST in Perth, we build your recurring class time around your specific time zone from the first conversation and adjust it automatically whenever daylight saving changes anywhere.
Do you have female teachers for my daughter?
Yes. We have qualified female teachers (Hafidhat with Ijazah), and many parents specifically request one for their daughters.
My child doesn't speak Arabic at home — will that be a problem?
No — it's the normal starting point for most of our Australian students. We teach Arabic letter sounds phonetically, so your child doesn't need to understand Arabic to learn to read the Quran.
For children starting from scratch with no Arabic reading ability — the usual starting point for most Australian households.

Frequently Asked Questions — Australian Families
Online Quran Classes for Kids in Australia
Why Families Across Australia Choose Alhamd Academy
"Our madrasa in Sydney (or Melbourne) is already full."
A full weekend class only applies to a fixed, shared room with limited seats. A private one-to-one session doesn't have that constraint — we match your child with a teacher and start as soon as you're ready, with no waiting list.
"My child already goes to weekend madrasa — isn't this too much?"
Madrasa and private online classes solve different problems. Madrasa gives community, group learning, and a shared environment; a one-to-one session gives focused correction on exactly where your child is stuck — something a full weekend class can't offer, however good the teacher is.
"We're already careful about how much time our child spends on a screen."
A 20–30 minute live video session with a real teacher correcting your child's recitation isn't comparable to passive screen time — it's closer to a music lesson. Most parents tell us it becomes the part of the week their child actually looks forward to.
"We're in Perth / Adelaide / Queensland — will the time zone actually work?"
Yes. Australia spans several time zones, and some states don't observe daylight saving while others do — we handle all of that for you. We build your recurring class time around your specific state from the first conversation and adjust it automatically when daylight saving shifts the clock elsewhere.
- Australia has one of the more established Muslim communities among the countries we serve, with real weekend madrasas and Islamic schools in Sydney and Melbourne. Even so, many families find those classes full, oversubscribed, or simply out of reach if they live in Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, or further afield. Private online classes remove that constraint entirely: your child gets an Al-Azhar-trained teacher on a schedule built around wherever in Australia you actually live.
- The Noor Al-Bayan method our teachers use was built precisely for children who don't speak Arabic at home, which describes most of the Australian families we work with. Rather than requiring Arabic comprehension first, it teaches letter and sound recognition directly, the same way any child learns to read a new alphabet.
- None of this is meant to replace your local mosque, madrasa, or Islamic school — they give your child community, friendships, and a shared learning environment an online class can't replicate. What a private session adds is the one-to-one correction time a shared classroom can't give, on a schedule that actually accounts for Australia's several time zones instead of treating them as an afterthought.
How We Teach Children With No Arabic Background
- Australia's Muslim community is large and established, with weekend madrasas and Islamic schools in Sydney and Melbourne in particular — but even there, classes are often full, and families in Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, or regional towns can have far fewer options within reach.
- Alhamd Academy gives your child a private, one-to-one teacher instead, at a time that fits around school, weekend commitments, and the rest of the week — not a single fixed slot shared with a full class.
- This is built to complement your local madrasa or Islamic school, not replace it. Many of our Australian families use us for focused reading and Tajweed correction alongside their child's regular weekend attendance, so the two reinforce each other rather than compete for the same hour.
- Most households we work with don't speak Arabic at home — which describes most Muslim children growing up in Australia. Using the Noor Al-Bayan phonetic method, your child learns to recognise and read Arabic sounds directly, without needing to understand the language first.
- Scheduling is built around wherever you are in Australia — AEST/AEDT in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, or Tasmania, AEST without daylight saving in Queensland, ACST/ACDT in Adelaide, ACST in Darwin, or AWST in Perth. You'll never have to work out the time difference yourself. Pricing is flexible too, not a fixed package: you choose the number of sessions a week and how long each one runs, and you'll see your exact plan and price before committing to anything.

Is This the Right Fit for Your Family?
- Each session follows a simple rhythm: a quick, game-based review of the last class, gentle correction of pronunciation using repetition rather than criticism, a short new lesson introduced with visual aids, and interactive practice that makes the new material stick before the class ends.
- After every single class, you receive a WhatsApp message summarising what was covered, how your child performed, and what to practise before the next session — so you stay informed without needing to sit in on every class yourself.
