Tafseer, Hadith & Seerah Course
Do I need to know Quranic Arabic before starting this course?
It helps but isn't required — sessions can work from translation where needed. Students who've already taken our Quranic Arabic course tend to move faster, since they can follow the original Arabic terms directly.
How is Hadith authenticity actually taught here?
Every Hadith studied is presented with its grading — Sahih, Hasan, or weaker — and the reasoning behind that grade, rather than treating every narration as equally reliable.
Is this a substitute for formal Islamic scholarly certification?
No — this is a structured personal-study course, not a scholarly ijazah in these sciences. It's built for serious students who want real depth, not a shortcut to a scholarly credential.
Can I focus on just one of the three subjects?
Your teacher can weight sessions toward whichever of the three interests you most, though the cross-referencing between them is genuinely part of what makes this course valuable — most students find the connections worth keeping.
Can I request a female teacher?
Yes, the complete curriculum is taught by our female teachers as well.

Three sciences that each unlock the others: Tafseer explains what a verse of the Quran means and why, Hadith preserves what the Prophet ﷺ actually said and did, and Seerah tells the story that gives both of them their context. This course teaches all three as one connected body of knowledge.
- Read a Surah with real understanding of its classical Tafseer
- Recognize a Hadith's authentication grade and why it matters
- Explain key events in the Prophet's ﷺ life in their proper order and context
- See how Tafseer, Hadith, and Seerah continually reinforce one another

Tafseer, Hadith & Seerah Course
Why These Three Belong Together
How the Course Is Taught
- A verse of the Quran often makes far more sense once you know the specific event it was revealed about — which is Seerah. A Hadith often clarifies exactly how a Quranic command was meant to be applied — which is why classical Tafseer constantly cites Hadith. Studying any one of these three in isolation means missing half of what the other two would have shown you.
- This course cross-references deliberately: a Tafseer session on a verse about patience might reference the Hadith on the same topic and the Seerah event the verse was revealed during — the same method classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi used themselves.
- Every Hadith studied is checked against its authentication grade — Sahih, Hasan, or weaker — because knowing how reliable a narration is matters as much as knowing what it says.

I'd read Tafseer books alone before and always felt like I was missing context. Having a teacher connect it to the Seerah and relevant Hadith made verses click in a way reading alone never did.

I finally understand why scholars sometimes disagree on a Hadith's authenticity instead of just being told 'this Hadith is weak' with no explanation.

Who This Course Is For
- Tafseer sessions work through real Surahs verse by verse, drawing on classical commentators, with cross-references to relevant Hadith and Seerah events as they come up naturally.
- Hadith is studied with its authentication grade always identified, and its relevant historical and Quranic context explained alongside it.
- Seerah is taught chronologically as connected events, not disconnected stories — so you see how one event in the Prophet's ﷺ life led to the next.
