Intermediate Tajweed Course Online
How is this different from Basic Tajweed?
Basic Tajweed teaches you the letters, articulation points, and the names of the rules. Intermediate assumes you already have that and focuses on applying the rules at real recitation speed — Ghunnah, Qalqalah, the Madd types, and Waqf — until they're automatic rather than something you consciously think about.
How do I know if I'm ready for Intermediate?
If you can read Quran with correct letter pronunciation and know what Ghunnah and Qalqalah are — even if you don't always apply them correctly yet — you're ready. Your first session doubles as a placement check; if Basic Tajweed is a better fit, your teacher will say so honestly.
How long does the Intermediate level take?
Most students need 3 to 5 months of consistent weekly or twice-weekly sessions. It depends far more on how much you practice between lessons than on the number of lessons themselves.
Is this only for people planning to get an Ijazah?
No. Many students take this course simply to recite Quran and lead prayers more confidently, with no interest in formal certification. Ijazah is one path forward from here, not the only reason to take it.
Can I request a female teacher?
Yes. The curriculum is identical; just let us know your preference when you book your free trial.

You can already read Quran and you know the letters — now it's time to recite it the way it was revealed. This course picks up exactly where Basic Tajweed leaves off: Ghunnah, Qalqalah, the four types of Madd, and the rules of Waqf, drilled one-on-one until they become instinct.
- Apply Ghunnah, Qalqalah and Madd rules without stopping to think
- Recite with the timing and rhythm proper Tajweed requires
- Know exactly where you're allowed to pause in a verse
- Be ready to begin Advanced Tajweed or Ijazah preparation

Why Basic Tajweed Isn't the Finish Line
How the Intermediate Level Is Taught
- Most students finish a beginner Tajweed course able to name the rules but not yet apply them at natural recitation speed — they still have to stop and think before a Ghunnah or a Madd. Intermediate Tajweed is where that thinking becomes automatic.
- This level is built for someone who already reads Quran with basic accuracy and wants their recitation to actually sound correct — the kind of correction a listener notices immediately: a Ghunnah held too short, a Qalqalah that's missing its bounce, a Madd cut a beat early.
- Your teacher listens to real recitation, not drills in isolation, and corrects in the moment — the same verse, read again, until the rule sits naturally inside it rather than as a separate mental step.

Yusuf A.
I'd been reading Quran for years and never knew my Ghunnah was too short until my teacher pointed it out in the first session. Three months in, it's completely different now.

This was the missing piece between 'I can read Quran' and 'I recite Quran properly.' My teacher corrects things I genuinely didn't know were wrong.

Who Belongs in This Course
- Every session opens with recitation of material you already know, so your teacher can hear exactly which rules are landing and which aren't — before introducing anything new.
- New rules are introduced one at a time, with the specific verses of the Quran where they occur, not abstract examples — so what you practice is what you'll actually recite in prayer.
- Sessions are recorded on request so you can re-listen to your own corrected recitation between lessons, which is where most of the real improvement happens.
